Corning Hungary is looking for a

Finance Trainee

 

We offer 6 months traineeship with an option to extend it further if business needs will require. At Corning you will be able to take part in the every-day work of our shared services center, get familiar with our complex processes and attain the bases of financial practices.

Job Summary:

The Trainee supports the company’s efforts to comply with financial standards by maintaining the General Ledger and Project Costing / Fixed Asset module in the ERP system in accordance with financial reporting requirements while performing the following specific duties:

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

 

Intercompany Center of Excellence:

  • Create and distribute collection reports
  • Create and distribute out of balance reports
  • Track responses received on collection and out of balances
  • Answer standard customer requests
  • Run reports in multiple systems based on ad-hoc requests
  • Consolidate and summarize data from reports

 

Perform General Accounting:

  • Create and Process Journals
  • Report on Journal Information

 

Manage Project Accounting/Fixed Assets:

  • Set-up Projects and Activities / Appropriation Requests and Internal Orders
  • Perform Project Maintenance
  • Close Projects
  • Capitalize new Fixed Assets
  • Maintain Assets
  • Retire Assets
  • Process Asset Change Request

 

Education level, Degree, Years of Experience

  • Ongoing or finished studies at a University or College (International Business, or Finance and Accounting, or economics)  – certificate of active student status is not required

 

Required Skills (These are skills that candidates MUST possess)

  • English knowledge is a must – (emails to customers)
  • Basic Accounting knowledge
  • Good Computer literacy in Excel & Outlook
  • Certification of active student status
  • Ability to manage 20-30 hours’ work week

 

Desired Skills (These are skills that would be nice for candidates to possess)

  • ERP system knowledge (SAP)
